I wonder if anyone has Steve Balmer's phone number?

Its just that over $five billion for a company that has never made a profit seems a bit steep. On that reckoning Media Citizens must be worth double that amount! Ah, I can see the the South of France beckoning, the yachts in the harbour, G and T with Mr Abramovich, lovely ladies everywhere. One $billion should do it.

But seriously I do now fear for Skype. It surely won't be too long until its all repackaged up and sold back to us as Skype Home Edition , Skype Pro Edition, Skype Ultimate Edition etc etc  - variously neutered editions that try and and confuse us with marketing babble. 

What a shame.
